In an exciting agreement for local sport and community development, Stamford Town Cricket Club (STCC) and Stamford College Old Boys RFC (SCOB RFC) have jointly signed a 40-year lease with Stamford Town Council in a partnership that will see both clubs occupy Uffington Road Playing Fields - establishing a long-term, multi-sport partnership in the heart of Stamford.
The lease agreement will see SCOB RFC relocate from their current base at Stamford Welland Academy, joining STCC at Uffington Road. STCC has been the proud steward of the Uffington Road facility for decades, and this new agreement reaffirms their role in Stamford’s sporting heritage. SCOB RFC will begin training at Uffington Road immediately, with the first home match scheduled against Rugby Welsh RFC on Saturday 13th September.
This partnership represents a shared commitment to enhancing community sport, increasing year-round activity, and safeguarding access to quality facilities for future generations.
Both clubs are excited to welcome supporters, families, and prospective players to be part of this exciting new chapter.
